This Ganoderma species does some wonderful work in the background and is a vital host for all sorts of critters and creatures in our wildlife. Supports insects, microbial and a food source for birds ect. Then eventually breaking down the organic matter of the tree recycling it's nutrients into a rich biomass then enjoyed by the next generation of plant/insect/fungal activity.
